Naco Pump Station Improvements

San Antonio Water System

This project involved the complete redesign and replacement of the existing electrical, instrumentation, SCADA, control and security systems. Improvements include new 5kV switchgear, 4160V motor control centers, 208/120V low voltage transformers, lighting, SCADA system, security system and instrumentation.  The electrical gear is housed inside a new climate controlled building which included a separate room for SCADA and Security System equipment.  The design included electrical and control system upgrades for:

  • 13 high service pumps
  • 7 well pumps
  • 2 ground storage tanks
  • Fluoride system
  • Lime slurry system
  • Sodium hypochlorite system
  • Flowmeters, pressure transmitters, pressure switches, level probes and chemical analyzers.
  • The majority of the electrical gear is housed inside a new climate controlled building which included a separate room for SCADA and Security System equipment
