This project involved a 7.5MGD expansion of the Medio Creek WRC facility. As part of the preliminary engineering work, the existing plant was investigated for possible electric distribution and control upgrades. The expansion included electric power distribution, cutting edge local control and security system. Investigation of electric utility service alternatives was conducted as part of the design. The control system automates many plant functions and allows for operator control of certain functions onsite. The project included the design of a new lift station to serve both the new and existing plants. The lift station has pumps with VFD’s and soft starters.
